Platforms >>
A platform defines the underlying foundation a mobile device is built on. Android, iOS, BREW and J2ME are all examples of different platforms. The platform a mobile device is built on directly effects what features are available on that device, the accessibility of those features by a developer and the way applications are offered and distributed to the consumer. The lines between platforms are becoming more and more blurred. The distinction is no longer carrier based as it once was. Verizon, previously using BREW exclusively, now offers Android, BlackBerry and iOS on some of their mobile devices. AT&T, a long-time J2ME user, is now offering BREW based mobile devices along with Anroid and iOS.
Viva Vision has worked in the mobile industry for over 7 years and has extensive knowledge in the differences between platforms and the best way to utilize those differences when creating applications that span multiple platforms. Capitalizing on those differences is what has makes Viva Vision a leader in developing applications across all platforms.
